I am a psychotherapist, an educator, a writer, and a mother. The order of these roles moves around daily. Truth: I love all equally, the balance of attention adjusts daily.
Hi, I’m Rachel, Licensed Professional Counselor in Boulder, CO.
The process and decision of choosing a psychotherapist to be in relationship with you, and your family, is an important one. My passion for supporting family systems arises from over 20 years of working with children and families as they deepen their understanding of themselves, each other, and how to communicate with care. Family systems are dynamic and complex systems. As a practitioner and a human, I believe that relationships are the essential to our well-being.
Is your child displaying challenging behaviors, such as emotional outbursts, anxiety, perfectionism, withdrawal, or shutting down? Have you tried everything, read parenting books, and feel exhausted and overwhelmed? Are you noticing a decrease joy and connection within your family? I can help.
I aspire to promote healing for children and families within their primary relationships: the family system. I focus on guiding parents see and understand themselves and how to relate authentically to their children. I assist children in integrating the uncomfortable feelings and difficult parts of their childhood, so they continue to grow and develop as a young child.
I am excited to offer play therapy, in conjunction with parent coaching, and educational consultation for parents, teachers, and directors working with preschool age children.
